Croquet at Queenscliff

Queenscliff Croquet Club, located on the corner of King Street and Hesse Street Queenscliff, is the home club for both Association Croquet and Golf Croquet players.

We have two greens available for use on club days. While the official croquet season runs from August to May, Queenscliff Croquet Club continues to play throughout the year, weather permitting.

Visiting croquet players are most welcome.

Golf Croquet

In Australia the sport of Golf Croquet has grown rapidly and is now played in all States at a high level. Golf Croquet is played by two teams. A “team” can consist of a single player – SINGLES – or two players on each team – DOUBLES. Both use four balls, where Singles use two balls each and Doubles have one ball each.

Playing Times: Monday morning is a practice morning, then Wednesday morning, Friday morning and Saturday morning are Golf Croquet playing times.

Wednesday 9am-12pm

Friday 9am-12pm

Saturday 9am-12pm

Advantage Play: First Friday of every month 4:30pm-7:30pm (Summer)

Association Croquet

This game has been described as a challenging and intriguing sport requiring tactical ability, judgement and skill rather than strength and fast reflexes. The game is played as singles or doubles. The sport requires the use of four balls and the blue and black balls always play against the red and yellow balls.

Playing Times: Tuesday of each week is dedicated to Association Croquet. Then on the first Thursday of each month, Queenscliff Association Croquet hosts a day for other Association players from local clubs.
